Metallography Specimen Polishing Machine

HP‐2M series

Our HP‐2M series of our Metallography specimen polishing machine is a kind of double disk table top type polishing machine and two persons can be operated at the same time. It is suitable for the polishing & grinding of the specimen. Disc Polishing Machines are finely polished to ensure a smooth, scratch free and mirrorlike appearance that enables accurate metallographic interpretation. Polishing is the final stage in producing a surface that is flat, smooth, scratch-free and mirror-like in appearance. Such a surface is necessary for subsequent accurate metallographic interpretation, both qualitative & quantitative. The specimen surface turns out to be mirror-like finish after polishing. Fully molded FRP cover. Quick change disc design enables discs with different grits emery paper / polish cloth to be used in desired steps.

The metallography specimen polishing process is essential for analyzing the structure and properties of metals, alloys, and other materials. It involves several steps, including sectioning, mounting, grinding, and polishing. It is specifically designed to perform the grinding and polishing steps efficiently and consistently.

The polishing process in metallography is precise and can significantly impact the quality of the microscopic examination. Achieving a well-polished surface is essential to accurately reveal the microstructural features, grain boundaries, and defects present in the material. The Metallographic Polisher plays a crucial role in obtaining reliable and repeatable results for materials analysis and research in various industries, including metallurgy, materials engineering, and quality control.
